CH. 20 TI-TI

“Hey boo, happy birthday,” I told Love. She was looking real cute today, and I had to admit her attire was not what I was use to her wearing, but I was glad Love felt comfortable enough to come out of her shell a little.

“Hey Miss Thang, I see you lookin’ good today. So where we going?”

“I booked us manis, pedis, and massages. Is that cool with you?”

“Girl that sounds like a plan. Hell, maybe that’s what I need,” she said as she relaxed in her seat.

“You feeling sick again?” I asked her. I hoped like hell she wasn’t still sick because it would ruin everything Conic set out to do for her tonight for her birthday party.

“Naw, I’m good. I’ve been actually enjoying myself. I do have something I want to talk to you about though,” she said with a shameful look on her face.

“What’s the deal boo?” I asked. I for some reason I really felt she was going to tell me that she was pregnant, but I tried pushing that out of my mind because it made me feel like I was betraying her, as if I didn’t believe her when she said she had never actually had sex yet.

“Don’t be mad at me Tiishea,” she said and I swear I felt my heart drop into my stomach as she continued.

“I know that we made a pact to hold off on giving up our virginity, but I think Conic is the one, and I am so in love with that man. I am legal now and I just want to give myself to my future husband now. I don’t give a damn about a birthday gift. I just want him. I guess what I’m saying is I want to give myself to Conic tonight.”

I was so deep into what Love was saying that all I could say was dammmn in my head because my sis was in love. I was happy for her because I never thought she would ever get with a dude, let alone want to willingly have sex with a man.

“I feel you, and no I’m not mad. To be honest I was going to tell you that Sir and I decided we were ready to take it there. We are going to do it the week before we leave. We got the room reserved and dinner reservations and everything. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you sooner,” I told her. I didn’t keep much, if anything, from Love so I was feeling a little bad for not keeping her up on point with me.

“Well I didn’t have all that shit planned, but just being with Conic without sex is enough for me. I must admit I would have never imagined me being in this position, but at the same time I don’t want to get my hopes up. I mean after all, he is Iconic and I’m not saying he’s God or anything but he is legendary out in the streets and we both know that much.
